by Chris Craggs and Alan James
Published June 2003
The crags covered in Western Grit range from the popular Staffordshire gritstone edges of the Roaches, Hen Cloud and Ramshaw up onto the remote Kinder and Bleaklow moorland crags.
Also contained are the superb Chew Valley edges, selected Lancashire quarries and small natural edges and the fine sandstone buttresses on Merseyside of Helsby, Pex Hill and Frodsham (not strictly gritstone we know but a logical inclusion being short of current information).
In total the book covers over 30 different crags using the now-familiar technique of photo-topos accompanied by inspiring descriptions. There are over 60 excellent action shots and loads of crag layout maps, tables, graded lists, route symbols and all the other features you have come to expect from ROCKFAX guidebooks.
