DMM - Karabiner Shadow Keylock Straight Gate

The best solid gate biner in the world? Probably.

We have manufactured the Shadow series from a new alloy which when combined with our I-beam hot-forging technology gives incredible strength - the Shadow features a massive 10kn 3 sigma rated gate open strength.

The Shadow incorporates a shrouded, keylock nose to avoid the carabiner snagging on tapes or bolts, which is particulally useful when stripping steep routes or when the biner is used for racking gear.

The body of the Shadow has been beefed up in key areas so that it can cope with the stresses involved in repeated dogging sessions - not only does it function beautifully, but it is a real workhorse.

The gate incorporates a CNC'ed finger recess to make clips fast and secure.

Ergonomically this biner just feels right and clipping is really easy. The inside of the biner has a really deep basket so that the rope is guided towards the spine for added safety and we have, as usual, adjusted the spring tension on the gate to minimise the chances of gate flutter occuring.

The Shadow is completely anodised to help combat corrosion and prolong life in hot, damp or salty enviroments.
