Fьr viele Kletterer ist der Boa als Arbeitskarabiner erste Wahl. In den letzten Jahren hat er sich als einer unserer beliebtesten Karabiner bewiesen.

Auch die Tatsche dass er mittlerweile in Industrie, Forstwirtschaft und Rettungskreisen sehr gefragt ist zeigt uns dass wir mal wieder einen Karabiner mit praktischem Design und super Performance auf den Markt gebracht haben.

Dieses Jahr wurde der Boa komplett aufgemцbelt und hat durch Verwendung der I-Beam Technologie gut abgespeckt. 82 g fьr einen Karabiner der GrцЯe ist doch nicht schlecht. Auch die Nase wurde mit einem Keylock Verschluss ausgestattet. Die Verschlusshьlse ist wie bei all unseren Modellen aus hochwertigem 7075er Aluminium gefertigt um die Bruchlast bei Querbelastung zu erhцhen und die Gefahr des hineindrьcken des Schnappers durch Aufbrechen der Verschlusshьlse zu verringern.

Durch die asymmetrische Form und seine enorme GrцЯe ist es auch einer unserer beliebtesten HMS Karabiner. Die Radien an den Innenseiten wurden fьr weniger Seilreibung sehr groЯ gehalten und dennoch ist er schlank genug um mit jedem erhдltlichen Sicherungsgerдt verwendet zu werden. Als Arbeitskarabiner kann der Boa wegen seine GrцЯe Unmengen an Schlingen und Seile „verschlingen".

The Boa has gone on a diet, now 25% lighter due to it's I-beam design, it also features a keylock nose and a captive bar option.

The Boa is the rigging carabiner of choice for many climbers and it has proved to be one of our most popular carabiners over the last few years.

The fact that the Boa's popularity has spread across into the industrial, arborism and technical rescue markets is proof that we managed to get the fundamental design and performance characteristics pretty much correct.

We have just finished revamping the Boa and it now features a fully I Beamed hot forged back and a keylock nose. This has had a dramatic effect on the weight and the Boa Screwgate comes in at a svelte 82g - which is remarkable considering its size.

It works so well because the offset HMS shape makes it massively versatile and very strong - it operates both as a very good belaying carabiner and as a rigging biner.

On belaying duty it works well with belay devices of all sizes - we designed the top bar so that its curve does enter the belay device itself and jam the ropes, whilst its smooth profile and massive 11.4mm rope radius means that it also works well with an Italian hitch.

On rigging duties its massive internal space means it eats up ropes and slings and is perfect for creating centralised anchor points. The slight offset shape also forces the load towards the spine increasing the carabiners strength.

The new Boa also features our new super strong 7075 barrel that resists cross loading forces and makes its use with figure of eights potentially much safer.
